I believe I made this site sometime last year, but for all I know it could be two years old. I decided to make it because hell, I'm a fan, why not have a fan site? I thought to myself "Well, I have all these pictures, some I'm sure many people haven't seen, so why don't I put them all in one convenient spot?" So I went on a quest to make this site. Not the first site I have made, so I knew a good deal of HTML coding to make it a basic site. And I had the things I would have needed to make graphics. At first I thought it was just going to be a gallery site, but I decided I should have a little more than just pictures, thus you have the history of boingo, first named "Knights in Dead Armor." Then later, near the beginning of this year (2002) or so, I wanted to have something more than just the history, pictures, and a links page, so I gathered some interviews and articles, plus the ones I had already saved, and converted them into HTML so I could display them on the site. I don't know if I'll be putting anything else on this site, since I mostly specialize in pictures, but you never know. The title, Beyond Insanity, simply came to me while I was in deep thought of a clever title. I scanned Oingo Boingo's many song titles to see if I could derive something from there. Finally, the song 'Insanity', inspired me. Why not take one of their most horrifingly great songs and twist it for my own uses? Beyond Insanity was born. Beyond Insanity has had about two or three facelifts, but I think this one is the best so far. Clearer graphics, neater layout, and something Beyond Insanity hasn't had before: a white background. I realized how cluttered the last layout was, and I still can't figure out what the hell I was thinking when I made it. I hope this one satisfies you more, because I certainly do feel better. I created this site in mostly HTML, with some javascript and CSS thrown in. You'll find a resources section on the links page where I've put a few links to websites that helped me out many times in the past with webpage designing, for anyone that is interested. I added "disclaimer" and "recommended viewing" pieces to the page, simply out of considerance and honesty. I want this site to be viewed in the best possible way, for I spent many hours trying to make it just right... despite the fact that I may neglect it every so often ;P. Oh yeah, and the font used for the header images is called Snipple :D If there's anything you'd like to address towards something I've mentioned here, or within the disclaimer, please let me know. You can contact me through one of the methods below. Thank you for reading this! |
| Dog knows why you'd want to know anything about me, lol. But, I suppose if you must know, I could give you a few nuggets.
To keep this short as possible, my name is Samantha but friends call me Sam. My computer is my best friend, but I spend my time doing other things such as writing, drawing, reading, and gaming. I'm online a lot, so if you'd like to talk you can contact me on AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) under Corpse Child, or you can eMail me at commando_girl13@SAYNOMA'AMTOSPAMyahoo.com. Luckily, I'm out of things to say. I hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to sign the guestbook... I love getting feedback about how I'm doing! Thanks for putting up with me. And now for something completely different: Oingo shows up on AOL. Click here. |
